Emma is a vampire slayer - she is determined to kill every blood sucking monster she can find as revenge. Her parents were slaughtered by vampires six years prior to the start of the book. She had no idea that, as with humans, there are evil vampires and good ones. Angus is a good one - which is very good as she finds herself falling rapidly in love with him. Angus convinces her to let him help her find, and dispatch, the evil vamps. Will Emma be able to change her attitude of 'The only good vampire is a dead one'?
I love Emma and Angus. The angst of Emma's past provides just the right amount of tension along with the guilt that Angus feels. It was a great read.
