It is the first Christmas since their mother died so Lucinda, Madeline, Abigail and Charlie all come home from various parts of the world and Australia to support their dad through the season and help out in the family motel at its busiest time.
All the girls have secrets they are keeping from each other and then there was a gypsy curse thrown in for some reason. By the end of the book I didn't really care about their secrets or how everything worked out.
