The Colony

In 1788 the British Empire planted the seed of a new civilisation on the edge of an invisible fantastic land -Australia -8 months hard sailing from home.

Two centuries later a modern-day cast of English, Irish and Australian characters were sent back in time to see if they could survive in the conditions of the early settlement of New South Wales. 

An interesting read. I would have liked to see the series.
