this is the story of a girl treated as insane and hopeless connecting with someone who finally listens to her, allowing them both to uncover that her "madness" stems from a strange ability. her diamond eyes see what others can't. She can see past events, anything from yesterday to a hundred or more years ago.
It makes you think outside of the box. An enjoyable, surprising read.
