When I—along with my best friend and his big purple monster boyfriend—come across a fortress-like raider camp while journeying across the monster-infested Wastes, we stop to deliver a message.

Problem is, I’m making this journey with the prickliest and most arrogant guy I’ve ever met, who seems to immediately hate me on sight. Oh, and he’s also half monster. So there’s that. And he’s in love with a raider who definitely does not love him back, and he seems determined to take it out on me. So there’s also that.

But I’m not going to rise to his childish insults and barbed words. I’m not.

I’m also going to try very hard to ignore how mindnumbingly beautiful he is, even when he’s scowling at me.

But the longer we’re out here together, the more I learn about my prickly half monster companion Moth. I realise there’s a reason he’s so closed off and angry. There’s a reason he hates everyone.

There are secrets he’s been keeping, and when I find out what they are, I want to do everything in my power to help him—even though he’s telling me he can’t be helped.

The 5th book in the Monstrous  series. I can't get enough of this monster romance series, every book has been amazing!

Moth and Charlie are just so fun together. Charlie is annoying and loveable, and Moth was so sweet and bashful. Not what you usually expect from a "Monster".

Some days things just don’t go quite as expected…even when you’re a Dom who likes everything planned out.

Brooks had thought he’d done his due diligence before he’d gone to work with the new firm. He hadn’t, and now he not only has to figure what’s next, he has to figure out how to fix things with the sweetest and shyest admin he’s ever met…if he can figure out where his perfect cutie, and hopefully sub, has disappeared to.

When a shy boy meets a cautious Daddy, sometimes they need a push to find their happily ever after—but what else are friends for?

I like these books by M A Innes. A nice, caring Daddy with a usually sweet boy. There is sometimes a bit of kink, in this case spanking and flogging. It was a nice read after this mornings flogging, lol.

Grabbed my attention from the beginning and doesn't let go. I like this series.

The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Katarina Bivald

Sara has never left Sweden but at the age of 28 she decides it's time. She cashes in her savings, packs a suitcase full of books and sets off for Broken Wheel, Iowa, a town where she knows nobody.

Sara quickly realises that Broken Wheel is in desperate need of some adventure, a dose of self-help and perhaps a little romance, too. In short, this is a town in need of a bookshop.

With a little help from the locals, Sara sets up Broken Wheel's first bookstore. The shop might be a little quirky but then again, so is Sara. And as Broken Wheel's story begins to take shape, there are some surprises in store for Sara too... 

A real little gem. I loved it. I liked the mention of other books, most of which I had read, and the feel-good, happy ending.

Their Brilliant Careers by Ryan O'Neill

Across 16 biographies of fictional authors, Ryan O'Neill invites the reader to laugh at the failings and revel in the excesses of some of Australia's greatest writers.

In doing so, he has crafted a neat critique of our real history. 

This series of short biographies is slowly revealed as a linked collection of stories, giving up their secrets to the attentive reader.

Entertaining and amusing at first, but I found my attention and interest wasn't held all the way through.

Milkweed by Jerry Spinelli

This is the story of Jews and Gypsies in Warsaw during the Nazi occupation. But it is also the story of a street orphan who survives on quick thinking schemes to find food: who believes in bread, mothers and angels. A tragic but beautiful account through the eyes of the innocent.

Told from the simple and naive view of a child, this book will stay with me for a long time. The ending seemed a bit contrived to make it happy.

A well written book that covers several complex issues, AIDS, teen pregnancy, drug addiction with real heart felt emotion.
