When the man she has come to love and cherish tells her he has come to claim her for Death, Anya is not having any part of it, even if her desire stays strong. Pursuing each other across the world, forces beyond their control threaten them and when it is too late to turn back, they despair at ever being together.

Anya was annoying at first, bit she gradually grew on me as more of her story was revealed and she grew up a bit.

Living Dead In Dallas by Charlaine Harris

When a vampire asks Sookie Stackhouse to use her telepathic skills to find another missing vampire, she agrees under one condition: the bloodsuckers must promise to let the humans go unharmed. 


It is interesting reading the books after watching the series.  I can 'hear' Sookies voice when I am reading, and I am really noticing the small inconsistencies between the books and the TV series.

I didn't really feel the attraction between Rhys and Megan. A bit disappointing.

An enjoyable romance with a clever mystery. 

The Bone Garden by Kate Ellis

 Lots of suspense. I especially liked the way the 300 year old mystery was woven into the current day one.

Very enjoyable.

 Action packed story with great chemistry between Andrea and Sean. There were a few twists, turns and surprises along the way. 

Hidden Currents by Christine Feehan

Stavros Gratsos, is a well-to-do Greek businessman involved in trafficking humans, Elle Drake must try her best to blend in with the social scene as she goes undercover to investigate. Yet, there is something strange about this man. Elle, now working under the guise of Sheena MacKenzie, is unable to use her psychic abilities on him - and thus unable to read his being. 


Elle is being held on Stavros's private island being beaten, raped and tortured. 
Distraught and confused, Deputy Sheriff Jackson Deveau - the man that loves Elle, does all he can to find and return Elle to Sea Haven.


I loved the interaction between Jackson and Elle. They were always meant to be together. 



There was a lot of fuss in some of the comments on this book about how dark and horrible it was for there to be rape and whippings in a romance.  I thought the romance came more when Jackson helped Elle get over what Stavros had done to her and help her be able to enjoy sex again.


Stavros called himself a Dom, Jackson showed Elle that a real Dom loves and protects his sub, not tortures her.
